Payment Options: StormPay & e-Gold now added to $5 Page

We are very pleased to announce that the programming is now complete. There have been SO MANY requests for alternate payment methods other than PayPal. We thought long and hard before deciding to add these to options.

We are sure that PayPal will continue to account for the vast majority of ALL sales, since it is easily the most widespread payment system currently available on the Internet. However, there are certain restrictions with PayPal that prevent MANY users from being able to utilize this payment method.

StormPay - We chose this payment option because it is becoming widespread, is easy to use and promises that it will NOT lock accounts as PayPal has been known to do. This account has the added bonus of being able to be funded from e-Gold for only a 3% fee. Also, there can be NO CHARGEBACKS with StormPay.

e-Gold - Next to PayPal, this is probably the second most popular payment method. It is available in ALL countries and is tightly tied in with StormPay. Like StormPay, it is FREE to set up an account, so there is no reason not to accept this payment option.

HOW IT WORKS: For those members who do not wish to add these new payment options, there is no visible change to their page. The PayPal payment logo will be the only one visible but prospects that are unable to use the options offered are given a link to contact the page owner so that alternatives might be arraanged!. Network & Server Status

December waqs a GOOD month for the network with almost 100% uptime. We passed the landmark of our 10,000th member early in the month and our 'little' program continues to blaze trails. They say that imitation is one of the sincerest forms of flattery and we are seeing more and more imitations of our program surfacing. We continue to improve and update our program to stay ahead of the pack as evidenced by ALL the news in this newsletter.

In all of our programs, we have in excess of 30,000 members! Even though our server is dedicated and fast, there are some times of the day (especially 7 -11 PM EST) when the number of people accessing our sites slows down the server. For this reason, you will do yourselves and your prospects a favour if you would put off checking or updating your account until off-peak hours.

In the same vein, we would appreciate if you would NOT use links to banners and graphics on our site unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. Again, this is for the benefit of your prospects, many of whom will not wait for the page to load while our server sends hundreds of images to other hosts. To this end, we have given instructions on the advertising page on how to download these graphics and put them on your own site to be served to your various advertising venues. Program Updates, Additions & Changes

Increased Security - Although we do not get very many 'illegal' members who cheat the system by reading the source code to locate the set-up URL, it does happen. We are just putting the finishing touches on programming updates that will 'cloak' the links making this virtually impossible. After extensive testing to ensure it does not cause other problems, we will instal the update within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, if you get a notification of a new member for whom you have not received payment please contact Support!

New member IDs - At this time, you will notice a change in NEW members ID. Due to programming limitations, we have changed to a single letter and 5 numeric digits. This change DOES NOT affect existing members.

Contact Method Change - We have switched the method in which we contact our members to keep them up to date with program changes and news. Previously, we used to download the member list and send from our own server. Now we maintain the membership list on an external server and only add new members before sending updates. Each message contains removal information. This list IS ENTIRELY INDEPENDENT of your $5 Page and removing yourself does not remove your page or vice versa!

SPAM is a VERY SERIOUS and ONGOING concern for us here at the $5 Solution Page. Although we are well aware that the bulk of our members market responsibly, we are nonetheless surprised at the relatively constant stream of complaints generated against our members (mostly NEW ones!).

Our policy for handling complaints is CLEARLY stated on your instruction page. Of course, we are also aware that some complaints are unfounded and if the accused member can show VALID proof of this fact, we will restore any page removed.
